Glulam products are manufactured by gluing together multiple lamellas, ensuring a dimensionally accurate, strong, and consistent result. Our glulam products are versatile and suitable for various applications, such as load-bearing structures, outdoor construction, interiors, and furniture.

We manufacture EN-14080:2013 strength-graded spruce glulam in strength classes GL30h and GL24h.

Quality, strength and aesthetics with glulam

Glulam combines the natural strengths of wood with the best properties of carefully selected lamellas. By gluing lamellas, it is possible to manufacture beams with even large cross-sections. Thanks to finger-jointed lamellas, unwanted features, such as large knots, can be removed, making the end product visually consistent and strong.

The glued structure reduces the impact of natural defects in the wood, which improves overall durability and makes the product straight and stable. Additionally, glulam is a fire-safe material.

Strength-graded spruce glulam

Our spruce glulam, manufactured in accordance with the EN-14080:2013 standard, is suitable for load-bearing and structurally demanding applications. Available in strength classes GL30h and GL24h.

Dimensions:

  • Max. length 6 m: 80–190 mm × 50–380 mm

  • Max. length 12 m: 140–190 mm × 85–380 mm

Glulam for other applications

Glulam is also excellently suited for applications requiring a visually consistent, dimensionally accurate, and durable wood product, but without strength grading requirements.

Our non-strength-graded glulam is well suited for e.g. outdoor structures, stairs and railings, playground structures, furniture, interior products, and partition wall structures.

We also supply round glued posts.

Flexible production

Partaharju controls the entire production chain from its own sawing to drying, which enables cost-effective use of raw material and fast deliveries.

Added value through optimization

We offer significant added value, especially when the product structure is still in the design phase. For example, if we can influence the number and dimensions of lamellas in a glulam beam, we optimize raw material usage in the best possible way. This efficiency is directly reflected in the product’s lower price.

We focus on small-diameter thinning wood, which yields consistent and sound-knotted sawn timber – the perfect base for high-quality glulam products.

Responsible wood use

Partaharjun Puutarha’s products are manufactured from PEFC-certified wood sourced from responsibly managed forests. We primarily favor locally sourced raw materials, which reduces the environmental impact of transportation and supports local forestry.

Wood is a renewable and carbon-sequestering material with a long service life. At the end of its life cycle, it can be reused – either through recycling or energy production. Thus, infrastructure products support both sustainable construction and environmental well-being.
